Arraial do Cabo

Beaches in Brazil. 15-Jun-2012 .BrazilBeachTravel
White sand, hills covered with exuberant vegetation, and the most turquoise and lightest sea in Brazil, only 140 kilometers from Rio de Janeiro

The entire maritime coast of Rio de Janeiro is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful not only of Brazil but of the world, and it is at the ends of the state, far from the influence of the big city, that its wonderful landscapes can be enjoyed with greater intensity ; We've already posted about Trindade , about Angra dos Reis , about https://brazilbeachtravel.com/blog/travel-aracatiba -ilha-grande / aracatiba-ilha-grande-mas-cerca-de-la-naturaleza "> Ilha Grande and about https://brazilbeachtravel.com/blog/travel-buzios / buzios "> Búzios ; Neighboring the latter there is another peninsula no less beautiful and much quieter: it is Arraial do Cabo, with its breathtaking landscapes and the whitest sand beaches that Brazil can offer us.

One of the things that impresses most of Arraial do Cabo is the white sand of its beaches, perhaps the whitest beaches that can be found in Brazil, which also makes the sea clear to the point of offering paradisiacal beach landscapes typical of Caribbean, although the characteristics of Arraial do Cabo differ from the Caribbean in that the Caribbean beaches are more of the type beach with reefs and with an abundance of coconut trees growing on the sand, and those of Arraial, on the other hand, are more of the type beach with mountains

Arraial do Cabo is located in the north of the state of Rio de Janeiro, 140 kilometers from the city of Rio de Janeiro , in the so-called region of the lakes, a region that besides Arraial do Cabo has another 2 of the main tourist destinations in the state: these are the neighboring Búzios and Cabo Frio.

Best time of the year to go to Arraial do Cabo

In a previous article dedicated to the climate in Brazil , we highlighted the different historical climatic characteristics of each region of Brazil, and how to take advantage of this data to maximize the chances of having good weather in the destination of Brazil that we have chosen for our vacations. In this sense, Arraial do Cabo (like the entire state of Rio de Janeiro) is in a region famous for being quite rainy in summer and not very rainy in winter, this combined with the fact of being in the north of the state of Rio, positions it as a good option to travel in winter, since its temperatures remain pleasant even at that time of year and the rains are reduced to the minimum between the months of July and August. That is to say that whoever can accept a climate not as warm as summer and nights cooler than normal, will be favored with greater possibilities of having many days of sun on the beach on your trip to Arraial do Cabo. It is noteworthy, however, that due to the geographical situation of the peninsula, the beaches facing south tend to have very cold waters in winter.
